According to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, this will be done through the removal of three roundabouts, 4th Roundabout (Elegushi), 5th Roundabout (Jakande) and the 8th Roundabout (VGC).
Addressing a joint ministerial press briefing, at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, on August 17, 2016, he also said that the state government will provide more traffic lights, in order to make up for the removed roundabouts.
Ayorinde added that traffic will be further managed with the expansion of roads, provision of dedicated turning lanes and additional lay-bys.
These statements were confirmed by the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Twitter.
In related news, the governor recently announced the addition of a new Lay-by at Iyana Oworo.
"The Lay-by at Iyana Oworo has been completed, it will help ease the flow of traffic. #ItesiwajuEko
The Lay-by has been built for private & commercial vehicles to pick/discharge passengers without obstructing traffic", he wrote on August 9th.
