'Use pedestrian bridges and stop risking your lives by crossing the express', Governor Ambode says

Road users have been advised to save their lives by using pedestrian bridges, rather than crossing the express.

According to the governor, people need to make use of pedestrian bridges, rather than risking their lives by crossing the express.

Using his Twitter account, Ambode urged pedestrians to make use of the newly completed bridge at Berger bus-stop, along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

"The pedestrian bridge at Berger bus-stop along Lagos-Ibadan expressway has been completed and is now open for use.

We encourage Lagosians to make use of this pedestrian bridge rather than crossing the express. #ItesiwajuEko

We are committed to delivering on the promises we made to Lagosians. #ItesiwajuEko", he added.

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has also advised road users to make use of pedestrian bridges.

According to Mr Chima Okonkwo, the Unit Commander of the FRSC in Kubwa, these bridges ensure the safety of lives.
