FRSC advises against under-aged driving in Jigawa

Parents have been advised to stop under-aged driving as it could lead to accidents, destruction of lives and property.

FRSC advises against under-aged driving

According to Mr Ado Adamu, the spokesman of the Jigawa FRSC Command, parents need to make sure that their children, below the legal age of 18, do not drive.

Speaking with the News Agency of Nigerian (NAN), he insisted on the absence of under-aged driving, during and after the Sallah celebrations.

Noting that only 18-year-old children, with certificate from government recognised driving schools, were allowed to drive, the spokesman warned parents that the consequence of this offence would be penalisation from the FRSC.

He said it was important that parents comply with this advise as under-aged driving could lead to accidents, destruction of lives and property.

Mr Adamu said the lack of this traffic offence could lead to traffic and accident-free roads, thus making the streets safer for everyone.
