15 Chibok Girls Receive Scholarships To Study At AUNA

Some of the Chibok girls who escaped from Boko Haram will study on scholarships at the American University Nigeria Academy in Yola

Fifteen of the Chibok schoolgirls who managed to break free from Boko Haram have received a better lot as they will now study at the American University Nigeria Academy in Yola, Adamawa state.

The girls have received scholarships to study at the school as beneficiaries of its founder, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and other unidentified sponsors.

Atiku said via Twitter:

“‎1‎5 of the #ChibokGirls who escaped have been admitted into AUN Academy on a scholarship,” Mr. Atiku tweeted.

The former VP also tweeted photos of the girls in a classroom.

Over 200 girls were kidnapped from Chibok in Borno on April 2014 and only a few of them escaped. The remaining girls are still missing.
