Yesterday, Twitter announced that users on its platforms will now be able to upload videos that are as long as 140 secs.

Previously, the video upload limit on the social network was 30 secs.

This change is one of many that Twitter has implemented in the past few months as it continues to push for an increase in its stagnated user growth.
With the new video limit, Twitter expects to drive better engagement on the platform and hopefully entice new users.
Similarly, Twitter also announced that Vine, the six-second video platform which it owns, will also be a beneficiary of the 140 second video limit feature.
