You may think just knowing how to press the shutter button on your iPhone to record a video or taking a dope selfie from time to time makes you a badass but in reality, you are barely scratching the surface of the capabilities of your iPhone camera. 

Because Apple knows that majority of the people that use iPhones are not savvy enough to get the best out of the iPhone’s camera, it has opened a website dedicated to a bunch of informative tips and tricks on photography.

  • How to snap a backlit subject: Turn on the HDR setting for better highlights and shadows > Lock the camera’s focus by pressing and holding anywhere on the display > Tap the display and slide to lower exposure > snap your photo. 

  • How to shoot a vertical panoramic shot: Start with camera in landscape > Switch to Panorama mode > Tap the shutter to start the Panorama shot > Start from the bottom and pan slow and steady.

  • How to shoot with streetlights: Turn off the flash > Lock the camera’s focus by pressing and holding anywhere on the display > Tap the display and slide to find the right exposure > Snap your photo. 

  • How to snap pictures while recording a video: Switch to video mode > Start recording > Simply tap the white shutter button to snap a picture while recording.

  • How to snap sunset silhouettes: Place your subject in front of the sun > Lock the camera’s focus by pressing and holding anywhere on the display > Tap the display and slide to lower exposure > snap your photo.

  • How to snap photos that involve action: Set the camera in photo mode > Hold the shutter button to put the camera in Burst Mode (the camera will take multiple shots while you hold the shutter button) > Open your photos > Select your favorite shot.
