This tech hub wants startup ventures to apply for its CAP program

Civic Innovation Lab is calling on startup ventures across the country to apply for the upcoming Civic Accelerator Program.

The program is designed to Promote social enterprise in Nigeria, with a desire to create an environment where social and civic solutions are first on our minds as we come up with innovative ventures.

CAP also seeks to drive conversation on what social issues are being solved as a vital part of doing business in Nigeria.

The program has a duration of 3-months and is aimed at supporting early stage enterprises with solutions to critical social issues. CAP will also enable entrepreneurs launch innovative and scalable social ventures that solve civic and environmental issues in Nigeria.

Interested applicants are expected to posses innovative solutions to common problems in the society because "the Civic Accelerator Program is for early stage ventures who have groundbreaking solutions to social and civic problems. We are looking for creative teams with innovative technology solutions that addresses our common problems as a society."

In addition to the aforementioned quality, applicants should also have one or more of the following:

● Entrepreneurs/ventures whose business model is built around providing solutions to social, cultural or environmental problems.

● Innovative and scalable businesses whose solution utilises a digital or technological element.

● A business with a sustainable model. We believe that in order to make a true long-term impact, a viable plan for revenue streams must be created.

● A team with relevant experience and complementary skills as well as a high degree of commitment. We believe that the capacity and commitment of the team is most essential to achieve the vision.

The Civic Acceleration Program offers a lot of benefits to participants ranging from: trainings, networking opportunities, office space, access to networks, workshops, access to investors and lots more.

Interested applicants are expected to submit their application on or before the closing date of September 4, 2017 while selected ventures will be informed by September 15, 2017.
