The website is about to make its debut into the smartphone market, starting with India.

Mozilla has today announced that it will be launching its first smartphone — the Cloud FX — in India this week as part of its plans to push the Firefox OS mobile operating system into new markets.

According to Techloy, the Cloud FX, developed by Intex Technologies, features a 3.5-inch display, a 1GHz processor and a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera. With an expandable memory up to 4GB and support for dual-SIM, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, the device packs various data monitoring features and several languages, including Hindi and Tamil.

It is expected to be sold to consumers exclusively through Snapdeal.com.
