Government spends N200m on students
The government assured that it will continue to provide platforms to mobilize children in the state to excel as future leaders of the nation.
Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Sahabi Gada, confirmed this on Thursday, June 30, in Sokoto.
According to Gada, the esture would encourage the beneficiaries to further their education in the state.
“We will continue to provide platforms to mobilize our children to excel as future leaders of the nation.
“The state government will continue to accord priority attention to the development of the educational sector,” he said.'
Gada also encouraged the students who benefited from this practice to reciprocate the efforts by dedicating themselves to their studies.
Calling on parents of benefiting students, he said they should keep an eye on their children so they can be focused on their education, adding that, “the state government will provide basic needs for the students.
“This will be done through the provision of basic learning materials in public schools and other infrastructure.”
