Vladimir Sansonov won his 25th ITTF World Tour singles' title with victory over Simon Arvidsson in the Belgium Open final on Saturday.
Heading into the showpiece, Belarusian second seed Samsonov had the advantage of experience over his Swedish counterpart, for whom an appearance in a World Tour singles' final represented new territory.
It looked as if 25th seed Arvidsson was going to rise to the occasion as he won the first game, however, Sansonov's produced a perfect demonstration of his quality in De Haan by storming back to emerge victorious 8-11 11-5 11-9 11-9 11-8.
Meanwhile in the women's singles there was a long-awaited triumph for Hungary's Georgina Pota, who overcame Japan's Megumi Abe.
Pota, European Junior Champion in 2002, had only reached her first World Tour final back in January on home soil but was defeated by Austriam Liu Jia.
But on this occasion there was to be no denying the 29-year-old as she sealed success 11-8 7-11 11-8 11-8 11-9.
