New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has no intention of slowing down, wanting to continue playing NFL for the next 10 years.

Brady is in his 16th season and the 38-year-old does not plan on retiring any time soon.

The four-time Super Bowl champion has 1,699 passing yards with 14 touchdowns and just one interception for the Patriots, who are unbeaten through five games this season.

Brady was asked by reporters in New York via a conference call on Wednesday how much longer he might play.

"Maybe 10 more years," he said.

"It's not always up to me; that's what my goals are. That's just what I'm hoping. It'll take a lot to achieve that. Obviously, a team has to want you.

"I love playing this sport. I love making the commitment to my team-mates and my coaches, and hopefully I can go for a long time."
