The Tennessee Titans have finally signed Marcus Mariota, the number two overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Mariota, 21, had been the only unsigned first-round draft pick before confirmation the deal had been done on Tuesday.

The two sides had differed on offset language within the contract.

Even with the Titans sticking to their guns, they got Mariota under contract before the team reports to training camp on July 30.

Mariota's rookie deal is worth $24.2million over four years, with a $15.9million signing bonus, according to Fox Sports.

"Thank you to the Tennessee Titans organisation as well as my agent for making a dream come true, last year's Heisman Trophy winner said in a team release.

"I am very grateful and honoured to have this opportunity. I look forward to the future with my teammates, and I"m truly excited to be part of this team."

The Titans are also excited to finally have Mariota's signature on official papers.

"We are glad to have the deal with Marcus done, and I"d like to thank both Marcus and his representatives for their diligence in working with us to finalise this contract, Titans general manager Ruston Webster said.

"We were confident that Marcus would be under contract before training camp, and we look forward to him starting his career on time with his teammates when we open camp next week.

"This is an exciting time for the Tennessee Titans organisation, and we look forward to a bright future."
