Air Cmdr. Charles Ogbonwen, Chairman, 2016 Nigeria Air Force Games, on Monday advised the Katsina State Government to provide an Olympic size swimming pool and indoor games complex in the state.

Oghomwen made the appeal while addressing newsmen in Katsina ahead of the opening of the games.

He said the facilities would help fast track sports development in the state.

“We have to take the Air Force games swimming competition to Kaduna State where there is an Olympic size swimming pool.

“In fact, the swimming competition has been concluded in Kaduna ahead of the opening ceremony of the games,” he said.

The chairman called on Gov. Aminu Masari to establish an indoor sports hall where events like Basketball, Badminton and Table Tennis would take place.

Oghomwen however commended the government for its hospitality and assistance toward the hosting of this year’s NAF games in Katsina.
