Joel Obi damaged his rectus femoris muscle and could be out of action for up to a month
Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi will miss his side’s Serie A clash with AC Milan on Sunday, October 18 because of an injury.
The 24-year-old damaged his rectus femoris muscle and could be out of action for up to a month with the injury.
Obi will also undergo some scans to determine how long he will be out according to a report on Torino's official website.
“The instrumental tests made on Joel Obi showed a lesion I / II degree at the rectus femoris. The midfielder will have new tests in order to accurately determine recovery time,” the report states.
Obi has played two Serie A games since joining Torino from Inter Milan this summer.
According to a report by Italy’s authoritative sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport , Joel Obi takes home €500, 000 (N112m) every year.
That annual pay makes him the seventh best paid player at Torino behind Quagliarella, Amauri, Belotti, Maxi Lopez, Moretti and Glik.
