Victor Moses and Mikel Obi will be in Super Eagles squad to face Cameroon in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria face Cameroon first at home in Uyo on Friday, September 1 and the return leg in Yaounde on Monday, September 4 in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ahead of the game, Moses and Mikel Obi who have not played for the Super Eagles since November 2016 will be available according to Rohr.
“We have recovered some injured players – Mikel Obi is coming back, we missed him so much in the last game. We have also Victor Moses and (Leon) Balogun, both are also coming back from injuries, we missed all of them,” Rohr said when giving an update on his team in an interview with Score Nigeria.
Rohr, however, bemoaned the absence of Super Eagles goalkeeper Carl Ikeme who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for acute leukaemia.
“Unfortunately we don’t have our goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, who is sick, but we will do it for him, we want to win for him and to bring him with us to Russia,” Rohr also said.
Moses and Mikel Obi both missed Super Eagles friendly games against Senegal in March and the two stars were also not available for the friendly games against Corsica and Togo and also the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier loss to South Africa in June.
