Abdullahi Shehu increases the number of Nigerian players in demand by foreign clubs
Local Nigerian players are doing so well, from the end of last to the beginning of the current campaign that interests are coming in from European clubs for the services of the Nigerian premier league players.
Kano Pillars are in talks with Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon for a prospective move for the signature of Abdullahi Shehu.
The player is said to be entertaining other requests from clubs in the Arabian Gulf: Kuwait club Al Qadsia SC have spoken to him and so have Saudi Arabia side Al Orubah.
Shehu who once played with the Flying Eagles sometime said that he would be moving to the Saudi Arabian club, but at that, the likes of Sporting Lisbon and Al Qadsia SC are still optimistic that they could snip him from Kano Pillars.
Shehu is regarded as the hottest prospect in the Nigeria Premier Football League, and his experience with the Flying Eagles at 2013 FIFA youth championship in Turkey contributes to his market rating.
