Super Falcons Nigeria move up in FIFA Ranking

Unlike their their male counterparts, the Nigeria’s senior women national team have climbed up four places on latest FIFA Ranking.

Despite failing ton win a match at the FIFA Women's World Cup, the Super Falcons move up to number 29 in the world.

The African champions remain the best side in the continent with a total of 1633 points in the month of March till date.

Cameroon overtook Ghana in second spot rising up 10 places to 43.

The Black Queens of Ghana are third best African team unmoved in 52nd and Equatorial Guinea remain fourth in number 55 while South Africa moved a place up to 59 in fifth spot and Ivory Coast remain 67th in the World.

Gabon made the highest surge moving up 20 places to 118th spot, while Lesotho suffered the heaviest crash dropping 11 spots to 142nd in Africa.

Reigning women champions USA climbed up one place to the number one after their record breaking third World Cup in Canada.

Germany dropped to the second spot.

Behind Germany are 2019 Women’s World Cup hosts France , Japan, England, Brazil, Sweden.
