Chief coach of the Super Eagles Salisu Yusuf has released a 20-man list for their 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against the Republic of Benin.

The Super Eagles Team B will face the Republic of Benin on Sunday, August 13 with the second leg to hold in Kano a week later.

Yusuf called up 30 home-based players for a training camp in Kano which he has now cut to 20.

Captained by Ikechukwu Ezenwa and his assistant, left back Chima Akas, the likes of Stephen Odey of MFM FC, Akwa United quartet of Ibrahim Alhassan, Aremu Afeez, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and defender Emmanuel Ariwachukwu will depart for Cotonou. On Friday, August 11.

Abia Warriors star Sunday Adetunji has been dropped from the team because of an injury he sustained in last week Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game against Lobi Stars.

Enyimba captain Mfon Udoh and Plateau United’s Elisha Golbe have also been dropped.

Sunday’s game will kick off at 4 pm.
