The 54-year-old coach is currently the Chief Coach of the Super Eagles where he acts as the assistant to the Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr.

According to FC Naija, Salisu is reportedly close to returning to Pillars again to replace Baba Ganaru who resigned after leading the Kano-based side to seventh in the just concluded NPFL season.

Pillars are looking to get Yusuf in a bid to make a proper title challenge next season.

Yusuf has managed the likes of Nasarawa United, Enyimba and El-Kanemi Warriors.
