Lira is a Brazilian whose playing career was cut short by a consistent injury. According to Lira, he once played for Fluminense and Sport Club do Recife.

After retiring from active football, Lira started his coaching courses and was once a classmate of Atletico Madrid coach, Diego Simeone.
3. Youngest manager to win Federation Cup
At the age of 27, Everton Lira achieved the feat of being the youngest coach to win the Federation Cup in Nigeria.
4. The first South American
He has also the first South American coach to win the Federation Cup. 7
