The NFF have denied any issues with Enyeama, insisting that the goalkeeper is free to return to the Super Eagles.
Enyeama quit the Super Eagles in October 2015 after falling out with then boss Sunday Oliseh.
With calls by the new Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr to return to the Super Eagles, Enyeama had said that he has issues to resolve with the NFF.
The NFF have however denied any issues with the 34-year-old, insisting that the goalkeeper is free to return to the Super Eagles.
Spokesman of the NFF Ademola Olajire claimed that the NFF didn’t have any knowledge of any issues of between them and Enyeama.
“NFF has never had any problem with Enyeama and I don’t understand why he made such statement that the NFF is the only reason he can’t return to the Eagles,” Olajire told Guardian.
“The only issue I can recall that lead to his retirement from the team, was when he had problems with former coach Sunday Oliseh. Enyeama or any player that Rohr needs to make the Eagles fly is welcomed to the national team."
Super Eagles boss Rohr has several times called on the Lille goalkeeper to return to the Super Eagles.
Enyeama made 101 appearances for the Super Eagles. He played in three FIFA World Cups, five Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winning one AFCON title in 2013.
