Mesut Ozil registered 50 Premier League assists in 141 appearances for Arsenal.
The German playmaker wrote his name into the history books on Sunday, March 11 as he became the fastest player to register 50 assists in Premier League history.
Arsenal defeated Watford 3 – 0, and Ozil provided the second goal of the game for compatriot Shkodran Mustafi to set the record in 141 games, two games less than Eric Cantona.
To celebrate his achievement, Arsenal collaborated with Ozil to construct a short video which shows the former Real Madrid man assisting of the pitch.
Arsenal posted the video on their official Twitter account with a caption which said, "Be it on the pitch or at the training ground, @MesutOzil 1088 just loves to assist."
The video shows the 29-year-old assisting several staff in the training complex, from picking up the phone for the receptionist to assisting the kit man clan up the boot room and so on.
Arsenal’s victory over Watford is their second in a row after defeating AC Milan in the Europa League.
Arsene Wenger was under pressure before the past two games as some fans demanded he resigns as soon as possible, while recent results will suggest that Wenger is the right man for Arsenal.
Ozil who just signed a new contract will be in action when Arsenal host Milan at the Emirates on Thursday, March 15.
