Iheanacho and a couple of Leicester City first team stars played in their U-23 game to work on their fitness.
Iheanacho has been struggling with injury since which he picked up on his Leicester City debut on Thursday, August 3.
Iheanacho who has only been able to play less than 20 minutes in his two Premier League appearances for Leicester City so far this season.
To continue to build up his fitness, the 20-year-old played and scored for Leicester City U-23 in their 3-1 win over West Ham at the KC Stadium.
The game also featured other recuperating Leicester City first team players like Robert Huth, Yohan Benalouane and new signings Eldin Jakupović and Vicente Iborra.
Iheanacho opened the scoring in the 47th minute before goals from Iborra and George Thomas completed the win.
“Good win today with the boys happy to get a goal,” Iheanacho wrote on Instagram after the game.
The former Manchester City striker played a few minutes in Leicester City’s opening day 4-3 defeat at Arsenal before he went to see a specialist over his injury.
He missed Leicester City’s Premier League home game against Brighton before travelling to Nigeria where he played and scored for the Super Eagles in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Cameroon.
He also made a cameo for the Super Eagles in the return leg of that game before returning to play in the last few minutes of Leicester City’s 2-1 home loss to Chelsea on Saturday.
