Zambia legend Kalusha Bwalya has expressed his disappointment in their 2-1 loss to the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The Chipolopolo of Zambia on Sunday, October 9 fell at home 2-1 in the match-day one of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Although he is disappointed, Bwalya also praised the Zambian players for their second half performance.

"Not the result Chipolopolo was looking for, but I will take a good second half fight back, to build on," the 1988 African Player of the Year wrote on Twitter.

 

Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho score two first half goals for the Super Eagles before Collins Mbesuma pulled one back for the Chipolopolo.

Zambia are bottom of Group B, with the Super Eagles leading, while Algeria and Cameroon are joint-second.
