Pique who has been at Barcelona for nine years admitted that he never felt ‘inferior’ playing against Real Madrid like he did on Wednesday.
"We are not in the best moment, as a team or a club,” the 30-year-old is quoted to say by BBC Sport.
"This a long process and there is room for improvement, We must stay as close as possible and keep moving forwards."
Pique was also a target of Real Madrid fans at the Bernabeu who chanted 'se queda' in reference to his now infamous tweet about Neymar staying at Barcelona.
Amidst transfers rumours about Neymar in Late July, Pique shared a photo of him and his then Barcelona teammates with the caption 'se queda' Spanish for 'he's staying'.
With Neymar gone, Real Madrid fans chanted 'se queda' to mock Pique as he was substituted during the game.
