Florence Omagbemi is the first person to win the Women's AFCON as a player and a as coach.
Omagbemi on Saturday, December 3 led the Super Falcons to their eighth Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
With that win, she becomes the first person to win the AWCON as a player and a coach.
Not much is known about the death of Florence’s dad and she could not be reached for further comments at the time of this report.
Pulse Sports have however learnt that the former Super Falcons player is currently in Warri for the funeral.
She is currently not with her team who are having a sit-in protest at the Agura Hotel, Abuja over the non-payment of their wages, bonuses and allowances.
The Delta State born coach has only received one month salary form the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) since she was appointed as coach of the Super Falcons in March 2016.
