"We need to give them all the necessary support. And judging by their performances in some of the warm-up games they played, I believe they have what it takes to beat USA,” Obuh said in an interview with Brila FM.

"I think when it comes to the U-17 World Cup, the USA are not that a big team. So I believe the Eaglets will emerge victorious," Obuh said.

Obuh is experienced in this tournament, having led a Nigerian U-17 side to second-place finish in Nigeria in 2009.

"They need to be focus especially in the first game because it is very important to get off to a winning start. If they get a win against USA, it will give them the morale boost in subsequent games," he said.
