The suspensions will take effect immediately and shall be carried over into the next season.
The LMC made the sanctions following the incident in Minna during the rescheduled Matchday 36 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game between Niger Tornadoes and FC IfeanyiUbah.
According to a statement from the LMC on Wednesday, September 6, FC IfeanyiUbah have been charged for breaching the NPFL Framework and Rules during the game.
Some FC IfeanyiUbah players, officials and supporters were found guilty by the LMC of assaulting the matchday official of the game that ended 2-1 in favour of Tornadoes.
“FC IfeanyiUbah failed to control and ensure proper conduct of their players and officials during the NPFL game vs Niger Tornadoes,” LMC said in a statement.
“FC IfeanyiUbah will pay a fine of N1m for encroachment during the NPFL game vs Niger Tornadoes
“FC IfeanyiUbah will also pay a fine of N750,000 for failure to control their players and officials during the NPFL game in Lokoja.
“FC IfeanyiUbah will pay N500,000 being N250,000 each to the assaulted referee and assistant referee plus any certified medical bills.”
The LNC also announced the suspension of FC IfeanyiUbah players Ngoma Luamba, Elu Wilson, Isaac Loute for 12 NPFL games each for assault on the referee
Stephen Eze, Adeleye Olamilekan, Michael Egbeta, Uchenna Godfrey Jr, Douglas Nkrumah and Kone Soumaila also received the suspension.
FC IfeanyiUbah secretary Chidi Nwogu and kit manager Adirika Obiefuna were given a 19-NPFL-game ban for assaulting match officials.
The suspensions on FC Ifeanyiubah players and officials take effect immediately and shall be carried over into the next season.
IfeanyiUbah are currently eight on 53 points in the NPFL table.
