Speaking on the Falconets outing, Mbachu opined that the players though talented were not prepared for the World Cup.
“The team have talented players, but they didn’t have the preparations befitting a competition of that magnitude,” she told Punch in an interview.
“Their preparations were not even befitting for an African championship not to talk of the World Cup. The first loss against Japan affected them – it was too heavy. They didn’t play good friendly matches outside the country.
“The team that finished second in the 2014 tournament in Canada had better preparations for the World Cup than the current team.
Mbachu also hailed Coach Peter Dedevbo for motivating the team to bounce back from that heavy defeat to Japan to beat Canada and Spain.
