Equatorial Guinea were forced to a 1-1 draw by Congo on the opening day whilst Burkina Faso lost to Gabon later on Saturday
Hosts of the 2015 African Cup of Nations, Equatorial Guinea play their second Group A match at the ongoing African Cup of Nations against Burkina Faso on Wednesday, after they drew 1-1 against Congo on opening day.
A loss for the hosts would mean that they wait till the last day where they must beat Gabon if they are qualify
Star player, Juvenal Edjogo-Owono however, says that it a must win for them against Burkina Faso.
“Burkina Faso need to win the match especially after they lost their first game and we also have to win it. It’s win or die for both teams.
“We have the confidence going into this game and so we hope for a good game.”
Their coach, Esteban Becker hopes that the fans would jeer them up at the 35,000 capacity Bata Stadium.
“The fans will be the 12th man for Equatorial Guinea on Wednesday.’’
