Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has revealed that Danny Welbeck will miss the beginning of the season
Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck will miss that start of the English Premier League season with a term knee injury.
The striker did not feature for Arsenal at the closing of last season and coach Arsene Wenger has revealed that the 24-year-old will miss the beginning of the season.
"Welbeck is not in full training yet, he has not fully recovered," said Wenger.
"He is supposed to start to go outside and run again this weekend and from now on, if that is positive in the next three weeks he will be available.
"He will be short for the start of the season in two weeks, but three weeks should be all right."
Welbeck has also reportedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for Besiktas.
The Turkish side are keen to acquire a new forward having sold ex-Chelsea striker Demba Ba to Shanghai Shenhua.
