Carthage Eagles of Tunisia shot to the top of Group B of the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

The 2004 Champions beat their match day 2 opponents, Zambia, 2-1 on Thursday in Ebebiyin.

Emmanuel Mayuka shot the Chipolopos into the lead at the 46 minute and that would be cancelled seven minutes later with a goal from Ahmed Akaichi.

The North Africans pushed forward, causing damage to the wasteful Zambians at the 69 minute when Yacine Chikhaoui  shot the Tunisians into the lead for the first time in the game.

In the other Group B game played later at the same venue, Cape Verde and RD Congo settled for a 0-0 draw  to bring the total number of draw in the Group to three.

Tunisia sit atop the league with four points, followed by RD Congo, and Cape Verde on two points each; Zambia sit at the bottom with one point.
