Floyd Mayweather has dismissed reports that his proposed blockbuster bout with Manny Pacquiao has been agreed.

The fight, which is expected to be the richest in boxing history, has been touted ever since 2009 but has seemingly moved closer in recent weeks.

The pair talked and swapped numbers during a chance meeting at Tuesday's Miami Heat game, with Pacquiao's adviser, Michael Koncz, telling ESPN.com that a private discussion post-game to try and thrash out a deal was encouraging.

Reports on Friday claimed that an agreement had been struck, with Mayweather (47-0, 26 KOs) and Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KOs) slated to go head-to-head at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas on May 2.

But Mayweather took to his official Shots account on Saturday to suggest that suggestions of a done deal are premature.

He posted: "Laying back, relaxing, enjoying good weather, palm trees and pina coladas.

"While they continue to lie about making the fight... I'm just going to continue to travel and explore the world on my private jet. #FightNotMadeYet #Jamaica"
