On the blue corner was manny Pacquia* former Legislator and one time a boxer himself Reuben Ndolo facing off with flamboyant ‘Floyd Mayweather’ Big Ted on the red corner.
Two heavyweight ‘boxers’ in the male category decided they too would not be left behind and come close to a fist fight before they were separated.
On the blue corner was manny Pacquia* former Legislator and one time a boxer himself Reuben Ndolo facing off with flamboyant ‘Floyd Mayweather’ Big Ted on the red corner after a spat triggered the unofficial match.
Kenya boxing chairman Reuben Ndolo on Saturday night almost engaged in a fist fight with Big Ted at the Canivore restaurant during the dubbed making a Champ Boxing and concert series (MAC).
Ted was apparently infuriated by Ndolo’s remarks that the boxing game in the country has been neglected by President Uhuru Kenyatta whose focus has only been on rugby.
"I respect Ndolo as my uncle but asituletee ujinga kwa kutaja jina ya Uhuru hapa (but let him not bring non sense here by mentioning the president’s name)," a visibly furious Ted retorted after the two were separated by match stewards at the boxing arena.
Ndolo, in Pacquia’S cool demeanor chose to walk away from the melee and said
“I know Uhuru if you are going to listen to this video, just know Kenya has been and is a boxing nation and we need sponsorship just like football and rugby.”
The former Makadara MP just like the real Manny Pacquiao is a former boxer and a die-hard fanatic of the game.
Big Ted on the other corner just like the real Floyd Mayweather who is involved in events organizations through his Mayweather Promotions is an event organizer.
Hopefully the organizers of the making of a series took note and will arrange the ‘rumble in the jungle’ for the two to square it out in a proper ring complete with referee and wet towels.
