Noah Airé is a one-man fusion riot on "Lone Star" EP

Airé’s real flair lies in the whole. The elemental components which he created via recording, producing, mixing and mastering...all by himself.

Noah Airé is a jack of all music technical trades. His full list of talents include Singer-Songwriter, Music Producer, Audio Engineer, DJ/Remixer and Multi-Instrumentalist.

After discovering the world music at age 4, he began to play the drums, before developing at age 13 when he wrote his first song He did record his first song two years later, and has worked through his stage name, before settling for the exotic brand that we have today. A graphic artiste, and CEO of Distinction Music Group, his first body of work “The Lone Star” EP got out earlier this year.

“Lone Star” dips into different scenes, the synths on ‘No one else’ made a high interjection on the love song, while the kick stays steady as Noah takes on expression of romance.

At an impressively thorough 7 tracks long – including a freestyle named ‘Starstruck’ – Airé’s debut project  certainly isn’t reserved in setting him out as a bright talent to admire, listen and project.  What hits you first is his voice, a progressive slightly light but flexible and punchy thing with an immersive kind of power. Oozing out in-between into different scenes, the synths on ‘No one else’ made a high interjection on the love song, while the kick stays steady as Noah takes on expression of romance.

Airé’s system of music operates on different levels, but his music is far more mainstream than that would suggest. It sits in a modern musical landscape that’s had its foundations laid down Styl Plus, and an ambitious 2face Idibia, whose diverse party and introspective tunes template are now the rules of music in Nigeria. ‘Strong’ puts together a strong EDM sound with traditional inspiration which reads off like a motivational, while ‘Carry Go’ extends this in more local tunes. ‘Ask you’ boasts a lush spaciousness that belies its somewhat vacant lyricism.

Airé’s real flair, though, lies in the whole. The elemental components which he created via recording, producing, mixing and mastering is less impressive with a certain nagging grittiness plaguing the songs at every turn. It’s most conspicuous in ‘Faith’, one of the singles that preceded this EP. But when you consider the whole, the beauty of the project is evident. It’s a one man riot production, and he scores high on many points.
