Priest who campaigned against DRC 'genocide' murdered in hometown
Father Vincent Machozi, the assumptionist priest who led the fight against the exploitation of local mineral reserves in the Democratic Republic of Congo is dead.

Onlookers said Machozi last words was “why are you killing me”.
Over the years, Machozi has been involved in several protests against illegal trade of Coltan, a mineral that is used in making laptop computers and cellphones.

In Congo, the trade of Coltan, which marked for violence is managed by armed military men.
Reports say that Machozi constantly received death threats, and was on exile in USA from 2003 until 2012 after attempts on his life.
