Chime’s defection was announced on Thursday, March 16, by South-East APC spokesman, Hyacinth Ngwu, according to Vanguard.
“Breaking News: Today, His Excellency Barr. Sullivan Iheanacho Chime, immediate past governor of Enugu State joined APC,” Ngwu said via Facebook.
Chime was governor of Enugu from May 2007 – May 2015.
