PDP accuses INEC of using APC members as ad-hoc staff

Okunomo also said that the electoral body’s action shows that it has a plan to rig the election.

INEC Official

The PDP Publicity Secretary, Banji Okunomo, alleged that INEC is recruiting members of the APC as ad-hoc staff.

Okunomo also said that the electoral body’s action shows that it has a plan to rig the election in conjunction with APC.

He said “It has been discovered that the INEC has concluded plans to repeat the rigging strategy it employed in connivance with the APC during the last Presidential election in the state.”

Adding that “It is sad that the electoral body could be conniving with the APC to rig election and endanger our democracy which did not come without some people losing their lives. “The trend started with the last presidential election where INEC ad-hoc staff played an ignoble role of deciding where voters should put cast their votes.

“This time around, there are proofs that most of the ad-hoc staff so far engaged to work with INEC on the 26th are APC card-carrying members “

He also said “This alone may rubbish the entire process as the outcome of the election may have been decided in favour of the APC by a partial umpire called INEC which has been doing everything possible to set Ondo on fire by its actions.”

The Ondo State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Segun Agbaje dismissed the allegation, describing it as false.

Meanwhile, the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has said that lections in the state cannot take place without the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
