INEC will not postpone November 26 polls

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) earlier called on INEC to postpone the elections but the commission refused.

Mahmood made the disclosure on Tuesday, November 22, during an interactive meeting of the 2016 Governorship Election Stakeholders’ in Akure, the state capital.

“Every eligible voter shall be accredited and immediately thereafter receive the ballot paper and proceed to vote without a break,” the INEC Chairman said.

“We have no plan to postpone this coming election this weekend because we are fully ready,” he added.
