According to Punch, the thugs removed Ibrahim’s picture and the PDP’s flags from the office which is located in Akure, the state capital.
The incident has been confirmed by the Director of Publicity of the Jimoh Ibrahim Campaign Organisation, Sola Akinuli.
“It was much unexpected from any quarter that such a barbaric act should rear its ugly head in 2016 when we thought all acts of hooliganism have been thrown into the dustbin of history,” he said.
“We are, therefore, calling on security agencies to take over the matter in order to forestall future occurrences. On peace we stand; and that we plead for, from all quarters,” he added.
The police spokesman for the state, Femi Joseph however said that the incident had not been reported to security agencies for necessary action.
