Governor promises to pay N2000 to young people who register to vote

Fayose’s spokesman, Idowu Adelusi, said that the promised fee would be paid till June next year when the governorship elections are expected to hold.

The announcement led hundreds of young people in the state to invade the office of the Independent National National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday to register, according to Daily Trust.

The state government had earlier declared Thursday, April 27 and Friday, 28 public holidays to enable civil servants participate in the voter registration exercise.
