The Sports Minister is likely to be replaced due to the controversy and outrage he has attracted since being appointed in November 2015. Dalung angered Nigerians when he said that the country doesn’t need to participate in the 2018 World Cup since it stands no chance of winning. He also said that the Super Falcons weren’t paid on time for winning the 2016 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations because no one expected them to win.
