Political thugs wreck havoc in Minister of Agriculture's home

The thugs were reported to have overpowered security men and made their way into the minister’s compound causing mayhem with Senator Lokpobiri and others trapped inside the house.

 

Reports coming in indicates that the country home of Minister of State for Agriculture, Heineken Lokpobiri was invaded by political thugs on Saturday, December 5, 2015.

According to a report by Vanguard Newspapers, the thugs stormed Lokpobiri'shome in Ekeremor few hours before commencement of accreditation of voters for the 2015 Bayelsa state governorship election.

It was further reported that the thugs, who invaded the home of the Director-General of the Sylva/Igiri campaign organisation, were armed and wielded guns during their invasion.

Though they were said to have been repelled by security operatives deployed to the area, the thugs were reported to have overpowered security men and made their way into the minister’s compound causing mayhem with Senator Lokpobiri and others trapped inside the house.

It was however gathered that the military had restored normalcy in the community after their attention was called to the occurrence.
