Atiku, Tinubu working against party?

Atiku is taking advantage of the inner wranglings in the APC to position himself in Tinubu's good books.

All Progressives Congress (APC) Leader, Bola Tinubu (L) and Former Vice-President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar (R).

According to Daily Trust, the APC leader, Bola Tinubu and former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, are making new plans for the 2019 presidential election.

According to an APC source, “Tinubu is having a serious realignment with Atiku on the possibility of pulling out with their teeming supporters if President Muhammadu Buhari continues to look the other way.”

“While Tinubu expected to win Kogi, Atiku wanted to be the chairman of the BoT, but the presidency frustrated their efforts.”

According to reports, Atiku is taking advantage of the bad blood between the party Chairman, John Oyegun and Tinubu to solidify his relationship with the APC leader.

The source also added that “Atiku himself is aggrieved. He had wanted to become the chairman of the BoT of the party, but that was scuttled. He is, therefore, cashing in on the current crisis to realign with Tinubu.”

You will recall that ex aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode recently accused Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola of betraying his mentor, Tinubu.

The Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose also slammed Tinubu’s protégés for betraying him, saying they will pay dearly for it.
