Chocolate City group registered in 2003 has since grown to be one of the largest organisations in the entertainment industry in Nigeria and some other African nations including Kenya.
On the My Africa podcast, founder of the group Audu Maikori shares the intention behind creating this company. He said, “The idea was really to start a full fledged entertainment company which would deal with movies, film, music”.
He explained that the vision was to establish an entertainment solutions company.
After 10 years as CEO of Chocolate City Music, one of the subsidiary arms of the organization, which is home to successful artists like M.I, Jesse Jagz, and Ice Prince, Maikori stepped down from this position.
