According to the latest report issued, ten southern provinces are affected by the flooding, which comes on the heels of heavy rainfall.
The ten provinces include Chumporn, Suratthani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Krabi, Trang, Pattalung, Songkla, Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat.
Suratthani’s Koh Samui Island and Krabi are the country’s top seaside tourist destinations.
“Train services from Nakhon Si Thammarat’s Thung Song district to other southern provinces have been temporarily suspended,’’ local media reported.
