According to the report, the journalist was having dinner with Human Right Watch official, Reed Brody, when he was forcibly taken to the airport and made to board a flight back to Paris.
The journalist had apparently arrived in the country less than a week ago to gather material ahead of ex-President's Hissene Habre's trial taking place in Senegal.
The victim claims he had applied for an accreditation and that he was he told he could start working while the authorities were processing it according to RFI reports.
