A man who ran a 'revenge porn' website which allows people post explicit photos of their former partners has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.

According to BBC, Kevin Bollaert of San Diego who ran UGotPosted.com, posted said pictures without the victims' consent and charged up to $350 (about N69,000) to get photos removed.

Bollaert was convicted in February on 21 counts of ID theft and six of extortion.

8 women testified in court in San Diego about the harassment they had suffered as a result of images being uploaded to Bollaert's website by their former partners with several saying they needed counselling to recover or were forced to leave college or work.
