Zuma says all ministers appointed by him

If Jonas says he was offered by the Guptas, I think you will be well-placed to ask the Guptas, or Jonas. Don't ask me. Where do I come in?" Zuma said in response to questions in parliament.

South African President Jacob Zuma said on Thursday that all cabinet ministers were appointed by him, responding to allegations that a wealthy family close to him had influence over political appointments.

South Africa's government was rocked on Wednesday when Deputy Finance Minister Mcebisi Jonas said the Gupta family offered him the position of finance minister.

Zuma denied any involvement.

"If Jonas says he was offered by the Guptas, I think you will be well-placed to ask the Guptas, or Jonas. Don't ask me. Where do I come in?" Zuma said in response to questions in parliament.
