Afghan Defense Ministry said on Saturday that Army found and defused three landmines near the capital city of Kabul.

The statement added that the discovery of the mines had foiled possible explosions as roadside bombs and landmines planted by the militants also caused casualties on civilians.

It said in a statement that the personnel of Afghan National Army's Kabul 111 Division recovered and defused three anti-vehicle mines in two villages of Qara Bagh district in Kabul province.
It said the Afghan security forces had beefed up offensives against Taliban militants recently.
